How LocalScorer handles your data.

Information we collect

We may collect account information such as your name, email address, and authentication data through the sign-in system used by the app. We also store match-related content that you enter, such as teams, player names, overs, scores, wickets, fixtures, officials, and scoreboard settings. When you make a payment, your name, email, and phone number may be shared with our payment processor to create and verify the order.

Purpose and how data is used

Data is used only for the purposes for which it was provided: to run the dashboard, save match state, render the scoreboard and overlays, share live or saved match state through public links, manage access plans, and process payments. We do not sell your personal data.

Storage and sharing

The app uses your browser storage to save local match work. Account profile and access records may be stored in a hosted database tied to your account. When a live scoreboard or ticker link is shared, match state may be transmitted through a live relay or peer-to-peer session so viewers can see the current scoreboard. Public overlay links are intended to display only match data (teams, players, scores) and should not be used to share private account details. Sensitive payment credentials are never stored in the frontend.

Third-party processors

We rely on trusted service providers to operate the app: an authentication and database provider (Google Firebase) for sign-in, profile, and access records, and a payment gateway (Razorpay) to process and verify payments. These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms and security practices.

Data retention

Local match data stays in your browser until you clear or reset it. Account and access records are retained while your account is active and for as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal or accounting obligations. You can ask us to delete your account data, subject to records we must keep by law.

Your rights

In line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you can withdraw consent for processing that relies on it. You can also clear locally stored match data at any time from your browser. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details on our Contact page.

Children's data

The app is intended for scorers and organisers managing matches. It is not directed at children, and accounts should be created by adults. Local tournaments may involve players who are minors; please enter only the player information needed for scoring (such as a name), and obtain appropriate consent before adding a minor's details.

Security and contact

We apply reasonable security safeguards such as access controls, transport encryption, and scoped database rules to protect personal data. No method of transmission or storage is fully secure, but we work to address issues promptly. For privacy questions, data requests, or to report a concern, reach us through the Contact page.
